Particles is a two-day event hosted by Tate Modern, featuring special guests and interactive experiences. The visual identity takes inspiration from Swiss Poster Design, making use of space, bold patterns, and inventive layouts to create two striking event posters. A simple yet impactful colour palette complements a logo that captures the event’s playful energy and spirit of scientific exploration.

The concept began with exploring the form and arrangement of circles, chosen as a visual metaphor for particles. I wanted to evoke the image of particles floating in the air, so I experimented with composition to create a sense of movement and lightness. In the final poster, the typography interacts with the circular forms, weaving between them to add a feeling of dynamism and playfulness.
The posters reflect key principles of Swiss design—strong contrasts, balanced negative space, and structured yet expressive layouts.
In addition to the posters, I created social media assets, event tickets, and wristbands, all incorporating the Particles brand elements. These include the logo, tagline “Enter the Particle Playground,” brand colours, and the signature circle pattern drawn from the poster design. Together, these elements create a cohesive and instantly recognisable visual identity for the event.
