Objectives

Tinker Club a club for children based in Uckfield, East Sussex. The club was started by a technology teacher with a passion for helping children learn and develop practical and creative skills. It aims to host workshops and clubs for 7–11 year olds in a gender-neutral, relaxed, friendly and fun atmosphere.

The branding for the club was designed to encompass these values and appeal to both young children and adults. The logo has been hand-drawn and feels fun and lively, and is expressed as a primary and secondary logo, meaning it can be applied across different marketing mediums. The pattern and iconography are made from hand-cut paper and scanned scribbles, with the icons used across poster design and marketing. The typography is fun and engaging in a childlike way, paired with a colour palette that is bold and gender-neutral, while still standing out and being recognisable as a children's brand.
